Pope Francis's statement that Islam is not violent is so obviously rubbish that one wonders what to make of it. Does he simply not understand the truth? For some reason is he not able to perceive the truth of the matter? But surely he has plenty of people around him in the Vatican who are experts on Islam to advise him of the truth. The alternative explanation is that he says what he said for political reasons such as some idea that he wants to keep open dialogue with Muslims. But is truth to be sacrificed to politics? Well there are ways of being politic without perverting the truth; sometimes it is prudent to say nothing. But this raises the question of whether all of what he says is merely said for political reasons and therefore we can never trust him?

I find his whole manner of speaking difficult particularly when he wants to correct someone. It is rather like correcting a child. Do you say "I do wish you would wipe your feet on the mat when you come in"? Or do you say "You have not wiped your feet because you are a nasty little so-and-so"? Pope Francis tends towards the latter when he calls people idolaters, neo-pelagian heretics etc.

I am sick of political correctness in the Church. I wish this papacy would end soon.

Good news....Pope Francis has said that he probably won't be there for the next World Youth Day. [I believe I read this in an article on the new canon212.com blog.

Ofcourse, that also might mean there will not be another WYD... which, in my opinion, will actually also be a good thing.

If Cardinal Sarah were to be elected next pope, it would be a hat-trick.

The last Pope was Benedict XVI, this one is the black pope of the prophecies, the future is all in God's hands. Let's pray, times are full of darkness. God bless+

I note that ISIS have now declared that the Pope is wrong and this is a religious war. I wonder if the Pope will be so politically incorrect as to respond by contradicting them? After all, they should know!
